Disclosed are aqueous size compositions for inorganic fibers which is based on a specific polymeric film former composition comprising
- A) at least one low molecular weight polyvinylacetate and/or at least one middle molecular weight polyvinylacetate, andB) at least one low viscosity partially hydrolysed polyvinyl alcoholC) the weight ratio of A) to B) is between 0.5 and 3.0.
