A grommet device for use with a medical instrument sterilization tray is provided. The grommet device includes a base structure having a base surface. A top structure has a top surface, wherein the top structure is connected to the base structure with a middle portion. An aperture is connected between the base surface and the top surface, and positioned within the base structure, the top structure, and the middle portion. A pull-tab is connected to the top structure.
