A transformer for wind power generation is configured such that the transformer's main body, which contains an insulating refrigerant in a tank where an iron core and windings mounted to the iron core are contained, is disposed in a tower which configures a wind power generation system, and that water surrounding the wind power generation system is used as a secondary refrigerant for cooling the aforementioned refrigerant.
