Abstract
A wireless communication terminal including a processor coupled to a transceiver and corresponding methods are disclosed. The transceiver is configured to receive information of a set of allocated resource elements carrying data intended for the terminal and information of a set of zero power reference signal configurations where each zero power reference signal configuration corresponds to one or more resource elements devoid of signal transmission from one or more cells. The processor is configured to derive resource elements that carry data intended for the terminal excluding at least the resource elements associated with each of the zero power reference signal configurations and to decode resource elements that carry data intended for the terminal based on deriving the resource elements that carry the data intended for the terminal.
