Abstract
An internally-toothed plate 105 and an externally-toothed plate 106 are fitted together so that a portion of an externally-toothed gear 161 of the externally-toothed plate 106 is located in a recess 151 such that the externally-toothed gear 161 a meshes with an internally-toothed gear 151a, and so that a bearing portion 151b of the internally-toothed plate 105 is located in a recess 161. In other words, the externally-toothed plate 106 is fitted into the internally-toothed plate 105. At this time, a seat cushion bracket 121 to which the internally-toothed plate 105 is fixed by laser welding is in contact with an outer peripheral edge 163 at the back side of the recess 161 of the externally-toothed plate 106. As a result, a reclining device with a reduced number of components and size can be obtained.
