Abstract
A fabric-creped absorbent cellulosic sheet having a patterned distribution of fibers includes a plurality of fiber-enriched pileated regions having a fiber orientation bias in a direction transverse to the machine direction (MD), and a plurality of linking regions having a fiber orientation bias offset from the fiber orientation bias of the plurality of fiber-enriched regions. The plurality of fiber-enriched pileated regions are interconnected by the plurality of linking regions.
