A deformable reflecting membrane includes, in thickness, an alternating superposition of layers of conductive elastomer and at least two reinforcing layers, each reinforcing layer being divided up into individual patches spaced apart from one another and distributed periodically in the plane of the reinforcing layer. The membrane is applicable notably to the space domain.
