Abstract

A shielding for a cable component that comprises a base material that is non-conductive and a plurality of conductive particles suspended in or disposed on an outer surface of the base material. The conductive particles are at least one of substantially the same size, the same shape, the same conductive material, different sizes, different shapes, and different conductive materials, such that selection of the conductive particles tunes the frequency bandwidth for effective shielding.
