Abstract
The present application relates to expression constructs capable of securing correct processing of neuropeptides upon expression in mammalian cells, and to mammalian cells secreting correctly processed peptides. One exemplary peptide is galanin. The application also relates to devices containing neuropeptide secreting cells, which devices may be used for the treatment of epilepsy and other disorders of the nervous system.
