The present application is directed to a stent, and more particularly, a radially expandable stent including a proximal end, a distal end, a plurality of struts and a plurality of apices at each of the proximal and distal ends; a barb integrally formed as an extension on at least one strut and extending outwardly from a position on each strut; and at least one slot formed as an opening through at least one of the struts, where at least one of the proximal and distal apices are curved apices.
