The present invention provides a separator for an electricity storage device that is formed by superimposing two or more fiber layers, wherein at least one or more of the fiber layers is a synthetic fiber layer that contains synthetic fibers and a synthetic resin binding agent, and also provides a method of manufacturing the same.
