Abstract
The present invention relates to the process for preparing a boronic acid or ester chemically, in which an aromatic compound is reacted with a boronating agent, in the presence of magnesium metal (Mg.sup.0). The invention also relates to the boronic acids or esters that can be obtained by means of this process and to the use thereof for example as a synthesis intermediate, in the Suzuki reaction, in the pharmaceutical or alternatively electronics field.
