Abstract

A ball vibrator, which generates a vibration caused by a centrifugal force accompanied by a rotation of a non-magnetic ball in a circumferential direction thereof around a center point thereof, is disposed in contact with a prescribed portion of a subject of which an image is produced. Then, a magnetic resonance elastogram (MRE) pulse sequence is employed for the subject and the vibration from the ball vibrator is used to produce a magnetic resonance elastogram (MRE).
