Abstract
The present invention describes a means for obtaining cells which produce human, humanized or chimeric antibodies in commercially useful quantities. The invention permits high antibody producer cells to be selected and isolated from animals for use in culture to produce antibodies. The invention also provides methods for the affinity maturation of human, humanized or chimeric immunoglobulins.
