Abstract
In order to provide a method of manufacturing a base body of an oil pan by means of which there can be produced a mechanically highly stable base body of an oil pan which, to a large extent, maintains its shape after the manufacturing process, there is proposed a method of manufacturing a base body of an oil pan which comprises the following process step: filling an injection mould having a complementary shape to the base body with a flowable starting material utilising a cascade injection moulding process.
