Abstract
T cells as well as a luciferase reporter transgene under NF-κB control. NF-κB activation and nuclear translocation of NF-κB, luciferase activity are repeatedly monitored in intact mice by whole body bioluminescence imaging. Results are corroborated at the cellular level by detection of luciferase protein expression in single cells. The results show that imaging of NF-κB activation permits early detection of subclinical disease as well as tracking of disease development.
