Abstract
The invention relates in general to methods of processing lignocellulosic biomass and to methods of pre-treatment of lignocellulosic pretreated with steam biomass. In particular, the invention provides methods which fix moisture levels in lignocellulosic biomass to levels near the inherent water holding capacity of the material.
