Abstract

Compounds of formula (I) are A.sub.2B receptor antagonists: wherein Ri is optionally substituted aryl or an optionally substituted monocyclic heteroaryl group having 5 or 6 ring atoms; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are independently selected from hydrogen, or optionally substituted C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkyl, C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkoxy-(C.sub.1-C.sub.6)-alkyl, C.sub.3-C.sub.8 cycloalkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, aryl-(C.sub.1-C.sub.6)-alkyl, or heteroaryl-(C.sub.1-C.sub.6)-alkyl; R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are independently selected from hydrogen, optionally substituted C.sub.1-C.sub.6alkyl, optionally substituted aryl, aryl-(C.sub.1-C.sub.6)-alkyl optionally substituted in the ring part thereof, --NHR.sub.7--N(--R.sub.8)--R.sub.9, --NH--(C.dbd.O)--R.sub.10, --(C.dbd.O)--NH--R.sub.11, --(C.dbd.O)--O--R.sub.12, or halo; R.sub.6 is hydrogen, C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkyl, aryl-(C.sub.1-C.sub.6)-alkyl, --(C.dbd.O)--NH--R.sub.13, --(C.dbd.O)--R.sub.14, aryl, heteroaryl, hydroxy-(C.sub.1-C.sub.6)-alkyl, or C.sub.3-C.sub.8 cycloalkyl-alkyl; and R.sub.7, R.sub.8, R.sub.9, R.sub.10, R.sub.11, R.sub.12, R.sub.13 and R.sub.14 are independently selected from C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkyl, aryl, aryl-(C.sub.1-C.sub.6)-alkyl and heteroaryl. ##STR00001##
