The present invention relates to a bag (1) for hermetically enclosing an inflatable liferaft; the bag is made of an impermeable material and comprises an outer side (6) and an inner side (8); the bag further comprises an opening. Furthermore, said opening is a slit (51) in the impermeable material closed by a peelable layer (2) so that the bag substantially maintains its hermetical property.
