Abstract
An apparatus for determining a position of a tire on a vehicle comprises a piezoelectric sensor for generating a first signal in response to rotation of the tire and a magnetic sensor for generating a second signal in response to rotation of the tire. The apparatus also comprises a controller for comparing the first and second signals to each other to determine a position of the tire with respect to left and right sides of the vehicle.
