Abstract

Three-dimensional images of objects are produced from two-dimensional projection images. Invasive radiation is emitted from a radiation source, and a first set of projection images of the object is captured by a detection device. The projection images are captured at various directions of the object referenced to the radiation source and/or the detection device. A first three-dimensional image of the object is reconstructed from the first set of projection images, the first three-dimensional image is evaluated and depending on a result of the evaluation, a position and/or direction of the object in relation to the radiation source and/or in relation to the detection device is modified, and/or an operational mode of the measuring arrangement for obtaining subsequent projection images of the measuring object is adjusted. After the evaluation of the first three-dimensional image, a second set of projection images of the object is captured by the detection device.
