An electrode comprising a metallic conductive support and a paste comprising an electrochemically active substance and a binder; the binder comprising at least one ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer in a proportion by weight of at least approximately 0.25% relative to the weight of said paste, the binder comprising neither polystyrene nor butadiene copolymer.
