Abstract
According to the invention, a seat is provided for use in a shower or a bath. The seat has a base for supporting a user, a support, such as a pair of legs, for supporting the weight of a user, and a bracket for removeably attaching to a grab bar. The seat is dimensioned so that the grab bar does not support the load of the user.
