Abstract
Biocompatible, resorbable medical implants and related methods are disclosed in which the implant can be made of a collagen matrix for filling a space after partial or total resection of the trapezium bone of the wrist. The resorbable medical implant can include a plurality of surface projections, and the collagen matrix can be folded or spirally wound about itself to form a spiral roll.
