The present invention relates to an organic resin derived from a naturally occurring oil or fat comprising monoglycerides and/or diglycerides, esterified with a poly(hydroxy acid) having the following formula:, —CHR, where R is an alkyl group having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms and comprising from 0 to 5 hydroxyl function(s); and n is the number of hydroxy acid units that are the same or different and does range from 3 to 2000.
