Abstract
A data communication cable comprising a plurality of optical glass fibres, in which optical glass fibres of the fluorine-doped graded-index multimode glass fibre type are used. The present invention further relates to the use of fluorine-doped graded-index multimode optical glass fibres in an optical glass fibre ribbon. An object of the present invention is to provide a data communication cable in which the maximum difference in signal propagation time between the channels in the data communication cable is reduced to a minimum.
