Abstract
To find a triphenylbenzene derivative suitable for a wide-gap material which allows blue luminescence excellent in color purity, and provide an organic EL element using the same.The organic EL element having one or a plurality of organic layers including a light emitting layer between a pair of electrodes is arranged such that at least one layer of the above-mentioned organic layers contains a compound as expressed by the following general formula (1) independently or as a mixture,is A or B independently, and at least one of them is A. X indicates a bond part with respect to a central benzene ring and is bonded in a meta position with respect to the central benzene ring.
