There is provided herein, an apparatus for lysing of adipose tissue comprising a transducer adapted to transmit ultrasound to a target area tissue of a subject body; and a vacuum system adapted to suck a surface of the target area tissue into the transducer to facilitate acoustic contact between the surface of the target area tissue and the transducer.
