Abstract
A method, device and computer program product used to determine at least one cardiovascular parameter P.sup.m, for example, the pulse, average arterial pressure (MAP), systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, arterial wave form, speed of the blood flow, systole duration, or diastole duration, by a measuring device which detects, in a non-invasive manner and in a time interval, several signals F.sub.l.sup.m of an artery, through which blood flows, as a reaction to an application of force to the artery. As a result, distances between the signals F.sub.l.sup.m and the reference signals are defined from the detected signals F.sub.l.sup.m with the aid of reference signals, which are used to determine the at least one parameter P.sup.m
