Abstract
A device for illuminating and capturing an image of an object can include a first light source mounted to structure; a second light source mounted to the structure; and an image sensor disposed adjacent to the first and second light sources and mounted to the structure. The image sensor may capture at least two different partial images of a target area, the partial images being captured under different acquisition conditions. A controller section may also include that has at least a memory that stores the at least two partial images to form a larger image.
