The invention relates to weather-stable pearlescent pigments having improved application properties based on a glass flake coated with highly refractive metal oxides and having a protective coat on its top metal oxide layer.are applied and to the metal oxide layer of the protective coat A or B an organochemical surface coat is applied. The invention also relates to a process for the production of such pigments and to the use thereof.
