A conveyor belt comprising at least one belt edge (1) arranged on a longitudinal side of the conveyor belt (10) is characterised in that threads of a tear-proof material (6) are arranged in the belt edge (1). The threads are preferably embodied as fabric and arranged as a fabric inlay (6) in the belt edge. A higher strength is thereby achieved.
