Abstract
A beverage container for the storage of a carbonated drink comprising a container body (10; 70) including an opening (11; 70A) and removable closure means for closing said opening, the closure means comprising a foil (12; 72) which provides a gas tight seal for said opening and a collar (13, 14; 71) for securing the foil to the container body. The collar may be a cylindrical component provided on its own (51; 60) or as part (93A) of another component, e.g. a cap (93). The collar may also be provided around the skirt of a cap or a skirt of a cap may be provided around the collar. The foil (72) may also be secured to the collar (71).
