A brake device for prams is operable for jointly acting on the rear wheels being installed on the two sides of the pram. The braking action is carried out by one single control being such as to simultaneously act on the two wheels through a rope. The single control is made up by an articulated lever having two positions namely being an active and a passive one, the positions being secured by a lock, this latter having been provided on a swivel pin for the control lever and includes a spring being provided for securing its two positions. The rope being to the control lever has two branchings, one for each wheel, each branching ending in an anchoring element at the respective wheel and including a spring provided for securing the braking position.
