Abstract

The coin identifying device is provided where the number of coins stored can be changed and a coin can be returned without a return button, and thus it is simple and inexpensive to make. The device has a coin slot, a coin outlet, and a rotating body. The rotating body has a coin containing section which can store multiple coins inserted from the coin slot, a switching member which changes the number of stored coins in the coin containing section, and a coin passage which is connected with the coin containing section and in which the coin falls to the coin outlet. A partition member inside a body of the device divides the coin containing section and the coin passage and does or does not prevent the coin in the coin containing section from falling to the coin passage depending on the direction of the rotation of the rotating body.
