Abstract
An input operation device, wherein a manual operation element (401) is shielded by an element shielding member (411) normally openably supported by a member pivoting mechanism (412) and energized to a shielding position by a shielding energizing mechanism (416). In this state, when the element shielding member (411) is displaced to an open position, the manual operation element (401) is opened to get ready for operation. The element shielding member (411) displaced to the open position is temporarily held by a temporary holding mechanism (424), and opened after a specified time is passed. Accordingly, the manual operation element (401) can be operated with a finger used for displacing the element shielding member (411) from the shielding position to the open position. As a result, the input operation device capable of easily manually operating the manual operation element merely by one hand can be provided despite the fact that the manual operation element is automatically shielded by the element shielding member.
