Abstract
The invention to which this application relates is to a mechanism for the tensioning of a spring, typically a coil spring (1) of the torsion type, said spring (1) having first (20) and second (22) arms which depend outwardly from either end of the coil and the spring (1) is provided to create a biasing force. The apparatus is typically a power tool and the invention provides an effective means of tension the spring (1) at the time of assembly of the tool by using components fitted as part of the tool.
