Abstract
The present invention provides a system and a method for graphically enhancing the visibility of an object/person on a video image used in broadcasting a sport event. For broadcasting the sport event, one or a plurality of video camera acquire video images of the event. The object/person of which the trajectory is of relative importance in the sport game is generally in the field of view of the video camera but may or may not be visible on the images. When the object/person travels, a monitoring module passively tracks the object/person and measures the 3D position of the object/person. As the event is being broadcast, a graphical representation of the object or of its trajectory is depicted on the image to enhance the visibility of the object/person on the broadcast image.
