Abstract
Disclosed herein is a vacuum vessel, capable of maintaining the freshness of food contained in the vessel for a lengthy period of time by creating a vacuum in the vessel. The vacuum vessel includes a main body (10) having along an edge thereof an annular protrusion. A seat (15) is disposed in the main body to seat an exterior receptacle containing food therein. A cover (20) covers the main body, and includes a valve mount part and a packing groove defined between inner and outer rings at a position corresponding to the annular protrusion of the main body. A packing (25) is fitted into the packing groove, and has an insert groove to engage with the annular protrusion of the main body, and an extension part to enhance a seal. A check valve (30)(130)(230) is mounted to the valve mount part of the cover.
