Abstract

In a fluid handling assembly, such as an animal milking apparatus, it is necessary for an elastic tube (1) to be fitted to, and removed from, a spigot (3). The prevent the tube (1) necking down when an attempt is made to remove it, a sleeve (9) is provided between the spigot (3) and the tube (1). The internal diameter of the sleeve (9) is the same as the outer diameter of the spigot (3) so that the sleeve (9) is slidable on the spigot (3) to enable the sleeve and hence the tube (1) to be removed from the spigot. The sleeve (9) may have a flange (10) or even a collar (19) to enable it to be gripped easily.
