Abstract
The present invention relates to the treatment and prophylactic prevention of Alzheimer's disease. More specifically, the present invention relates to methods and compositions for reducing production of .beta. amyloid by reducing or preventing the binding of amyloid precursor protein (APP) to an X11 adaptor protein. Also provided are methods for identifying molecules that modulate APP-X11 binding.
