Abstract
The present invention relates to the use of a compound of formula (1) wherein R.sub.1 is pyridyl or thiazolyl, any of which may optionally be substituted with C.sub.1-8alkyl or C.sub.2-8alkenyl: and a) R.sub.2 is methoxy and n is zero or one; or b) R.sub.2 is chlorine and n is zero and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof for lowering or controlling proteinuria, in particular for the treatment of diabetic nephropathy.
