Abstract
The present invention relates to a epicyclic scanning device including a document tray to hold the documents, a rotation shaft for rotating motion, a transmission mechanism joining together with the rotation shaft for circular motion, and an image scanning unit which is to scan the documents on the document tray when the transmission mechanism drive the document stand in the planetary motion, wherein the image scanning unit includes: a scanning light source, a lens group consisting of mirrors and lenses and a image sensing unit.
