Abstract
A system for authorising a user to interact with computer software using a sensing device and a form. The form includes disposed thereon or therein information relating to at least one signature field, and coded data at least partially indicative of the signature field. The coded data is coincident with the information so that when a sensing device is moved relative to the signature field, the sensing device senses the coded data and generates the indicating data using the sensed coded data. A computer system receives the indicating data and determines movement of the sensing device relative to the signature field therefrom, the movement relating to a handwritten signature provided by the user. The computer system then determines signature data at least partially indicative of a handwritten signature, and compares this to stored signature data to thereby authorise the user.
