Abstract
A system and method for charging a battery from an engine includes at least one battery disposed within a recreational product and configured to be charged by a charging voltage within a charging voltage range. The system includes an engine in operable association with the recreational product and configured to supply an internal rail voltage substantially greater than the charging voltage range and a converter system configured to convert the internal rail voltage to supply the at least one battery with charging voltage within the charging voltage range.
