Abstract
In pigment dispersions for cosmetic products, at least 90 vol % of pigment particles have a dispersed diameter of at most 0.7 .mu.m. The pigment dispersions preferably also contain a dispersing medium and a dispersant. The dispersing medium may be an aqueous medium. A process for producing cosmetic compositions includes adding a pigment dispersion as described above to a cosmetic material as coloring agent. The pigment dispersion may be added to a polymer emulsion and/or a thickener.
