Abstract
The present invention is related to the field of immunology and more specifically with immunotherapeutic combinations used for controlling growth and/or cell proliferation of tumors. By means of the present invention a therapeutic effect against tumors is observed by the combination of idiotypic vaccines whose principle active is an anti-ganglioside antibody (Ab1), with idiotypic vaccines whose principle active is anti-idiotype antibody (Ab2) obtained against an anti-ganglioside antibody, or vaccines whose principle active is one or more gangliosides. Combinations of these vaccines are described that cause a synergic therapeutic effect against tumors. The referred combinations can be applied to patients in different clinical conditions of tumors that express ganglisidos.
