The present invention concerns chicken antibodies and humanized chicken antibodies and the method of making such antibodies. In a particular embodiment, it provides humanized chicken antibodies that bind to or neutralize human and/or mouse proteins, such as IL-12 or L-selectin. It also provides the method for the prevention or treatment of autoimmune diseases by using such antibodies.
