Abstract
In a liquid crystal display device, an uneven-surface structure is formed on a portion of a second main surface of a light guide plate which faces a sub liquid crystal display panel and light which is propagated in the light guide plate is reflected toward a first main surface of the light guide plate which faces a main liquid crystal display panel. The reflectance of the uneven-surface structure is corrected by changing the shape (level difference with respect to the second main surface, the area and the density in the inside of the second main surface) of the uneven-surface structure in the portion where the second main surface faces the sub liquid crystal display panel, whereby it is possible to suppress local lowering of brightness of the first main surface attributed to the radiation of light from the portion of the second main surface which becomes a cause of brightness irregularities.
