The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition or a method for treatment of infections with a drug resistant bacterium including a flavonoid as an active ingredient, and also, a pharmaceutical composition or a method for treatment of infections with a drug resistant bacterium and a disinfectant including a flavonoid which can enhance efficacy of a .beta.-lactam antibiotic, and said .beta.-lactam antibiotic.
